As a kid, Santiago Segura wandered through the streets of his birthplace – Carabanchel - dreaming of other worlds. Finally, he decided that show business would be the best of all the possible worlds to be in and this career seemed even more fitting when he began to pick up awards with his first short movies, at the same time as he was making star appearances in movies of his buddies such as Álex de la Iglesia or Guillermo del Toro. He is he man behind the success of the biggest ever box office hit in Spanish cinema: Torrente, el brazo tonto de la ley (1998), and we have also had the chance to see him lately on the big screen in Asterix en los Juegos Olímpicos (Frédéric Forestier, 2008).
